The long-awaited day is finally here and we have some updates on the situation at Rema’s ceremony as relayed by Dembe F.M.
No card, no entry
Entrance to the ceremony is strictly by card. Without one, you are better off staying at home.
A card permits only the invited person
Unless indicated, a card only permits the person who appears on it. Carrying a plus one is a bad idea for this function.
Villagers will have to watch the ceremony on Tv
Most villagers in Nabbingo have not been invited and will have to watch the ceremony on Tv like the rest of the population. They may, however, be able to catch a glimpse of some celebrities who will be attending.
Cars are not permitted to access the ceremony venue
Cars have a parking space a little distance away and only a few are allowed in at the venue.
Only three cameras have been permitted
Not every media house has been invited. The ceremony only gave permission to three.
Invited guests are already arriving at the venue
Security by the army
The security is tight and some army officers have been seen outside the perimeter fence.
There is general anticipation for a great ceremony ahead.
The ceremony is expected to be great and many important guests are expected at the function including some Bagagga kwagalana members and the Nabagereka of Buganda, Sylvia Nagginda who is the guest of honour.
Unlike the pink kukyala ceremony, the decor theme may be black and white as shown by this photo from one of the tents.
Dr. Sebunya and his entourage are on their way from Kabira country club to the venue of the function. They are expected to arrive at noon.
