A bride and groom along with their bridal party were detained on their wedding day for breaching Covid rules in Rwanda.<\/p>\n

The newlyweds with their invited guests were compelled to spend the night sitting outside in an empty stadium as punishment for violating the Covid-19 restrictions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe party was reportedly transported directly to the stadium after police broke up the wedding which took place during the Easter weekend,\u201d stated an online source.<\/p>\n

According to the BBC, at least three other weddings had been stopped by Police in Kagali because they exceeded the permitted maximum number of 20 guests.<\/p>\n

The bride told the BBC, “Spending the evening at a stadium on my wedding day is a bad memory that will never fade in my life,” adding, “Inflicting pain and shaming people like this doesn\u2019t make us fear corona or observe measures.”<\/p>\n
