This morning, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Asan Kasingye, that many refer to as a Twitter addict, shared exciting news of his 30-year marriage anniversary on his Twitter account;<\/p>\n

“14.09.1991. It\u2019s 30 Bweddu. Hallelujah ?? ” – @AKasingye<\/p>\n

The famous Police Political Commissar and his wife got married on September 14, 1991 when he was only 25 years old. The two are now grandparents and parents to five; three boys and two girls.<\/p>\n

The former UOT President’s\u00a0 marriage was an arranged one and he told The Observer last year, “We never had anything like courtship or getting to know each other, but I believed in her because our parents were very good friends though we had never met. Actually the day we were tying the knot was our fourth time to see each other.”<\/p>\n

At the time Asan confided in his parents about his marriage intentions, his wife now was only about to sit her Senior Six exams. Asan says he had never been in a relationship.<\/p>\n

Last year, he tweeted<\/p>\n
