{"id":21115,"date":"2022-05-05T16:00:53","date_gmt":"2022-05-05T13:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mywedding.co.ug\/?p=21115"},"modified":"2022-05-05T16:10:10","modified_gmt":"2022-05-05T13:10:10","slug":"jane-fasted-asking-god-if-joseph-was-the-one-for-her","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mywedding.co.ug\/?p=21115","title":{"rendered":"Jane fasted asking God if Joseph was the one for her"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Joan Salmon<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"title-small\">What you need to know:<\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-block\">\n<ul class=\"rte--list\">\n<li>For three days, Jane fasted, asking God if Joseph was the one for her.<\/li>\n<li>Her prayers were answered when he proposed during a Valentines Day dinner at church.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>When a friend told her, Taata wange akwagala loosely translated as \u201cMy paternal uncle loves you\u201d, \u00a0the journey that led to marriage started.<br \/>\nJane Nampemuko Ganja, was then in her second year at university when a relative of Joseph Ganja made the revelation.<br \/>\n\u201cWe were doing the same course. I was excited but also scared because he was the first man in my life. I, therefore, took my time before saying yes,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p>The year was 2009 when Joseph noticed a woman with a simple and humble lifestyle that endeared her to him.<br \/>\n\u201cI am glad that I found an easy way to get in touch with her,\u201d he shares. In the long run, Jane was smitten by the fact that he was always well dressed.<br \/>\nIt was a humble journey with bumps but Joseph was sure he had met his soulmate and wanted no other. The couple had their firstborn ( a son) in 2011 then later in 2014, Jane got born again. This came with the thought that having had a child out of wedlock, maybe he is not the one.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paragraph-wrapper\">\n<p>\u00a0\u201cI knew God was not happy that I had given birth before marriage. So, I simply concluded that Joseph could not be the one. However, he was always sure that I was the one,\u201d Jane shares.<br \/>\nShe recalls a time when she assured him that they could not not get married. This wrecked havoc so bad that Jane\u2019s mother said, \u2018Someone\u2019s son is going to die and his blood will be on you\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"paragraph-wrapper\">\n<p><strong>Prayer and fasting<\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cI loved him but the guilt of the sin kept gnawing at me. For peace of mind, I prayed and fasted for three days, asking God if Joseph was really the one. I am glad that He said he was. Looking back, I can say that the devil has a way of using our past mistakes against us and we end up missing out on what God has prepared for us,\u201d she says.<br \/>\nDetermined to make her his, Joseph proposed to Jane.<br \/>\n\u201cIt was quite interesting because I proposed on Valentine\u2019s Day.
