\u00a0What we value we treasure. According to Jeremy Bidwell, \u201cone way of doing this is by getting good at saying words like, \u201cyou are right,\u201d or \u201cyou have a point,\u201d while at the same time \u201cavoiding the tendency to simply debate. If you get into this habit, your life at home will get better.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Abusive language<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We have to be good at fuelling the good in marriage by using words of affirmation. It is sad that, when one partner in marriage is threatened or intimidated by the success of the other, they turn to the use of abusive language that demeans their spouse.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, celebrating value and gifting increases intimacy and connectedness. I read somewhere in the Bible that, \u201cA man\u2019s greatest treasure is his wife.\u201d We have to be aware of the fact that treasure is discovered. We must go all out to look for it. Some may be hidden, while others may be found lying out in the open.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

There are also risks in seeking out treasure, although the bottom line is that, we find it brings great pleasure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Connection<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
