On Thursday, Ugandan BBC journalist, Nancy Kancungira announced she was officially married, with a Facebook post of images in a traditional dress, captioned,\u201cThanking God for a day more beautiful than our families could ever ask for\u00a0\"??\"\u201d. This attracted a mammoth positive reactions on social media, congratulating the BBC news anchor on a momentous day of her life. \"\"<\/p>\n

The bride looked amazing next to her husband, that has only been identified as Gabriel. \"\"<\/p>\n

Among the over a thousand comments on her Facebook posts were those from notable personalities like MP Joel Sennyonyi, a former colleague of hers at NTV Uganda; and Joy Doreen Biira, another scribe friend of hers.<\/p>\n

Moses Karugaba, a former contestant for the Rukiga County Member of Parliament seat, shared his exuberance for having MCeed the function,<\/p>\n

\"\"Nancy started her career as an intern radio presenter at Power FM, a Christian radio station.<\/p>\n

She quickly rose through the ranks of her career, and she became the deputy program director of the station by the time she graduated with a first-class degree.<\/p>\n

In 2010, she and her older sister Seanice co-founded Blu Flamingo, a digital media management company.<\/p>\n

In 2012, she moved from radio to TV when she was employed to work as a newsreader by NTV Uganda. She worked for the station until late 2013 when she relocated to Kenya to work for KTN News Kenya as a social media editor before she went to BBC.<\/p>\n

As the BBC World News presenter, she is famous for her work on Focus on Africa, In Business Africa, and World Business.<\/p>\n
