With every year that goes by, the fashion industry keeps improving with new trends and outstanding designer outfits. Brides go an extra mile to look their best and make a statement on their big days. Here are brides that got us mesmerised with their traditional outfit style in the year 2019
Amidst 2019, the property show co-host, Christabel Nansubuga officially introduced her now husband Edwin Musiime, a fellow host of the same show airing on NTV at her home in Mutungo hill. This bride stunned in her two traditional outfits and yet they were both simple.
Christabel was designed by Anitah Beryl, the owner Beryl couture and we couldn’t expect any less. The bride first stepped out in a beautiful crystal-embellished purple and gold gomesi that she coupled with a simple necklace, earrings and hair jewelry that all had purple crystals on them. She then went for a neutral makeup look with purple lipstick, and an up-hair do that just made her look even more outstanding.
The bride later changed into a crystal blue and peach western attire embedded with flowers also locally known as mashuka. The attire was coupled with silver jewelry including a chandelier-like crown that complimented her face well.
Ugandan songstress, Rema Namakula wowed fans with her beauty and elegance which left fans sharing her kwanjula pictures for weeks and we all just couldn’t get enough.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the bride wore a green and gold gomesi that she paired with golden earrings that had red crystals matching with the flowers in her naturally made hair. She also settled for a neutral make up look.
For the official appearance among her guests, Rema changed into a white gomesi with a green sash that matched her man’s coat. She accessorized the look with a white fascinator that complimented this look even more.
For the second time, the bride came out in a silver and peach glittery gomesi complimenting it with simple silver earrings and silver hair jewelry.
The bride went ahead to wear four other attires which excited her guests and fans.
City commercial model and fashion designer Rachael Naijuka aka Tania Rakeri made rounds on social media platforms after pictures of her introduction ceremony went viral. The most outstanding and rare thing about this bride was the fact that she managed to rock a Shs20,000 haircut for her ceremony.
Ugandans fell in love with her simplicity and with in no time, everyone wanted short hair for their introduction ceremony.
Besides the unique choice of hairstyle, Tania also rocked a peach flowery western attire commonly known as the mashuka. She also wore a blue and white mushanana accessorising it with matching jewelry.
Comedian Patrick Indringi commonly known as Salvador was introduced by his baby mama, Daphine Frankstock.
Daphine looked stunning in a white mushanana that she accessorised with a white fascinator.
Although white is a rare colour when it comes to traditional attires, Daphine still managed to rock this look. The bride later changing into another grey and blue mushanana.
Like always, the bride was jolly all through the ceremony and her happiness added an extra credit to her stunning outfits.
Her photos emerged on the internet and many seem to know her as Queen. This brides name indeed befitted her dress code.
Queen wore a white gomesi that had blue and orange patterns running all through it. The bride went an extra mile and mixed gold and silver jewelry, a rare experience but she still rocked it completely.
Daughter of former Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director, Jenniffer Musisi, introduced the love of her life this year in a magical introduction ceremony.
Being known for her great sense of style on Instagram, Chanelle didn’t disappoint. The bride was glamorously dressed in three traditional gomesis, one peach that she accessorised with gold jewelry, a white one that she accessorised with white hair pearl beads and another one that was a mixture of blue and white.
She kept her hair natural all the way which made her look even more stunning.
Renowned photojournalist Nicholas Bamulenzeki was introduced by his fiancee in a traditional ceremony in Kyenjojo District. The bride rocked a blue and white busuuti accessorised with multiple pearls on her arm, hand and, ears plus a matching headband.
A great look is achieved through great effort. A ceremony such as an introduction happens once in a life time therefore you have to dress the moment in order be left with great picture memories.
