Angume commonly known as Julie Heartbeat on Thursday had her guests in Kiboga excited as she introduced Samuel Sekajugo Musoke to her family and friends.
The happy bride looked stunning in a black gomesi embedded with silver beads and feather-like designs that complimented the outfit even more.
She also accessorized this look with silver jewellery and a crown that matched perfectly with her gomesi.
The ceremony attracted a number of guests including local musicians like Stacia Mayanja and Betty Mpologoma who showed up to celebrate the moment with the bride.
However, the groom wasn’t able to show up for the ceremony, so a picture of him smartly dressed in a traditional kanzu coupled with a blue coat was used instead.
This has caused some controversy however, it was explained that Sekajugo who is currently working in the Netherlands was denied permission by his employer to travel back into the country for the function.
Julie’s family was however aware and understanding about the entire situation hence the ceremony taking place smoothly without any inconvenience. The groom was represented by his brother who sat next to the photo.
The two are said to have started dating in 2018 and the fact that Sekajugo works and stays in the Netherlands, they have been having a long-distance relationship.
It is in August this year when the couple went public about plans of formalising their relationship before the end of 2019 and the plans have finally been successful.
Julie is the former wife of the late Ugandan singer Martin Angume.
If you were faced with the same situation, what would you do?
