KFM radio presenter of D’MightyBreakfast, Brian Mulondo has penned an emotional message to his wife Manuela Pacutho Mulondo, an entrepreneur and TV host as they celebrated eight years in marriage.
In his heartfelt message, Mulondo reminisces to the wife about how similarly it rained on this very day of 25th years ago when they walked down the aisle.
The radio presenter says he wasn’t bothered because all that mattered was the fact that they were about to start a long journey together.
“25th February 2012. It rained like it is now! Nothing mattered though because I was going to start a long life journey with my friend,” he wrote.
The corporate emcee also revealed how they were able to laugh away the small glitches that transpired on their wedding day.
“We didn’t care if the tent collapsed (Centre dropped down, cake a bit disfigured) we entered the 600pax tent ngatusinika, dancing with friends and family,” he revealed in the message.
Mulondo says the past eight years have been the best and he can’t wait to count more years married to Manuela.
“What would I have done differently? NOTHING! These 8yrs have been the best years of my life. I can’t wait to live for the next 8 with you,” he posted.
“Manuela I am and will always be your number one Fan and Cheer Leader! Happy Anniversary,” he added.
True to his words, Manuela has always attributed in many of her interviews how Mulondo has always been supportive of her career initiatives.
The Mulondos met on a bus trip to Nairobi, Kenya where they were going for a ministry drama trip.
In an interview with Daily Monitor, Manuela revealed that they dated for more than eight years, five while he was benching her and one year of serious preparation and counseling for the institution of marriage.
They eventually got married on this very date in 2012 at Watoto church and have been blessed with two children, a son named Blake Jayden Mulondo and a daughter named Bianca Zerlinda Mulondo.
One of the highlights of their wedding ceremony was when their long kiss sent the church in loud cheers. Eight years down the road the couple is still spotted publicly displaying their affection during their hangouts together.
Manuela has a great love for children which prompted her to quit her bank job to set up a facility called the Cradle that offers child care services for working mothers.
She also now co-hosts a weekly show called Bump love on NTV which talks about motherhood.
The anniversary message comes shortly after Manuela wrote this loving message about her husband on Facebook.
Let me introduce you to the Mulondo Brian I know…..
Brian is our prophet. He represents God to me and the children. When I react emotionally, which is pretty much all the time, he calms me with His wisdom. He is the arbiter of family values……He will go to any length to ensure our family spirituality is intact, he will go so far as to even plant a Church. Who does that people? Who does that? That is the Brian Mulondo I know.
Brian is our king. Brian provides for ALL of our needs. He works diligently to earn enough for me a life to forget my past. Brian will provide our needs, wants and desires years before he will provide for his own personal need; not even a want nor a desire, but a need. Brian’s clothes and shoes are all “my fault” because he NEVER buys himself ANYTHING. I have to lie that I’m going to get myself or the kids something because I know it’s the only way, he will spend a dime on himself. One day, after expressing my concern about this, he promised he was going to buy himself a phone. I waited for the phone that evening, only for him to come home with a cheque for my book editor. His phone was a mess, he could barely hear from it, he could barely see its screen and yet, even then, he still went ahead and bought me a 2nd phone, kids’ birthday presents, a family trip, etc, way before he ever replaced his own phone….. who does that? Who gives so generously to his family? That is the Brian Mulondo I know.
Happy anniversary to the couple.
