Last year, singer Rema Namakula stunned many with her classy choice of outfits during her traditional wedding with husband Dr Hamza Sebunnya.
Today, in an interview on NTV’s Mwasuze Mutya, the singer revealed that she ensured that at least in each of the functions there should be an outfit or colour that carried special meaning to her.
For the Kukyala ceremony, Rema welcomed Sebunya to meet her family dressed smartly in a maroon traditional gomesi. Her then husband-to-be also paired his traditional kanzu with a coat of the same colour.
Rema explained that maroon is actually their favourite colour and that is why they had to start their journey towards formalising their relationship clad in it.
Days to the big function, the singer excited many when she posted pictures of her lavish Introduction shower. This was a unique idea to many because bridal showers were known for the religious wedding ceremonies.
The ‘clear’ singer revealed that she wanted to have some fun time with her friends to take off the stress from the wedding planning.
She looked elegant in a classic inspired black dress and the fascinator added more glam to her look.
“I chose black because it is my second favorite colour and it makes me look classy,” the singer revealed.
Finally, at the traditional wedding, Rema’s light purple ballroom gown designed with lights was the highlight of the function.
With a lot of excitement, Rema told the interviewer that her last outfit was a fulfillment of her dream wedding dress.
“When I was a little girl I dreamt that on my wedding day I was wearing a glittery gown,” she revealed. “So, I had to wear a dress with bright lights to fulfill my dream.”
The singer revealed that she intends to maintain and keep that dress with its glittery lights as long as she lives.
Well, like they say ladies always have a dream about how their wedding will look like even before they meet their dream man. Rema was among those who dreamt and set out to make it to reality.
