All Saints Cathedral Kenya has asked couples that were hoping to wed in the next four weeks to cancel their weddings in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Citizen TV Kenya reported that Couples that cannot cancel their weddings for extreme circumstances will be given a 30minute wedding officiation time and be allowed not more than 10 people to witness their union.
Additionally, all attendees will be required to strictly follow the preventive guidance procedures from the cathedral officials.
Any attendees of the ceremony that have travelled in the recent past will also be required to self quarantine and seek medical treatment before attending the wedding.
This comes after the church cancelled all Sunday Services and meetings scheduled on its premises following four comfirmed cases of Coronavirus in Kenya and advise from the Ministry of Health to limit all forms of social interaction inorder to avert the spread of the virus.
Provost Canon Sammy Wainaina of All Saints Cathedral said the church will howver remain open for individual prayers.
