Wedding proposals keep becoming unique by the day as men try to come up with creative ways to impress their partners.
Just a month after a Ugandan man identified as Bryan proposed to his girlfriend, Linda Rosset Buluma in an advert that ran in the Sunday Monitor, another man has followed suit.
Boniface Ong’era Masese, a Kenyan high school teacher, has excited newspaper readers after he proposed to girlfriend, Turah Mokeira in the Daily Nation.
It happened to be the teacher’s 28th birthday when he contacted a newspaper to have a tiny article published about his womb escape day.
Masese said as someone with a rural background, birthdays were not a big deal and that is why he didn’t believe in celebrating one up today.
He added that his friends always poked fun at him for being so closed off to birthday festivities.
However, this time around his birthday meant some much to him because he anticipated doing something special.

“Patiently yet anxiously I waited for this date to happen. I am so excited that it is finally here,” he said. “I make the day exceptional by celebrating the feats I have garnered in life.”
As Masese signed out of the piece, he wrote, “Today as I mark this day, I only have one wish. To my lady Turah Mokeira, will you marry me?” He asked.
Many online readers congratulated Masese, however, others just like us are still anticipating what Mokeira’s answer will be to this unique proposal.
