Ben Kamau, an 80 year old kenyan man has proven that age is just a number as he wedded his 65 year old sweet heart, Nancy Wambui in a grand Wedding ceremony.
The couple tied the knot on Saturday, September 12, 2020 in Kikuyu constituency, Nairobi.
In a broadcast by NTV Kenya, the groom is seen to have been among the first people to arrive at the church to cross check if the preparations are in order. Kamau was smartly dressed in a two piece black suit paired with a white shirt . He also ensured that his mouth is covered with a blue mask in accordance to cornona virus S.O.Ps.
A few hours later, his bride was ushered into the church with songs of praise and drumming by family, relatives and friends.
Wambui looked lovely in a long sleeved ball room gown and a veil to cover her well accessorised hair style.
In an interview with NTV Kenya, Kamau revealed how he was happy to re-marry after his first wife tragically passed away two years ago leaving him with five children, ” God blessed me with the first wife and we had five children but she passed on two years ago. Today, I am getting another wife,” the 80 year old groom revealed.
On the side of the bride, she revealed that she has been a single mother of two for several years and had never considered getting marrieduntil she met Kamau.
According to the groom, Wambui’s previous partner cheated on her and disappeared.
The joyous bride says she has nothing but gratitude to God for seeing her successfully married in a grand ceremony.
Kamau advised young people over 18 years to get married and be happy because it is Godly.
Many online viewers have gone ahead to send their congratulations to the couple and also agree that indeed age is a number and any one can walk down the aisle at any age.
