Selfishness seems to rule many hearts lately, but when a son is so happy when his father finds love, our hope in humanity is restored and we take our hats off in honour. Such was the case on September 18, 2020, when Edrine Sempebwa took to his twitter account, @edrinesempebwa to celebrate and rejoice with his dad saying, “After dedicating 19yrs to raise us as a single parent, my dad has finally remarried and is very happy. My heart is very happy for him and goes to show love always comes through.” That is a beautiful and tear-inducing thing indeed.
When my wedding spoke to Sempebwa, he shared that after the passing of their mother,Jane Nalubwama Kiwanuka, their father became their all. “Mother passed away on 6th October 2001 and Dad has fathered and mothered the six of us since then. It is time he enjoys his old age with our new mother.”

With untainted joy, he says they are very happy he went on to look for someone fitting to mother them. “We were very happy and glad that they found each other because they love each other. This also gives us peace of mind knowing that there is someone taking care of him.”
While some children would be weary of the change, Sempebwa says the only adjustment is satisfaction knowing that his father is happy.
We wish Godfrey Galiwango Kiwanuka and Annet Nalumansi Kiwanuka a blissful marriage.
