Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari and his first lady Aisha Buhari are overjoyed after they witnessed the Nikkah ceremony of their last born daughter, Aisha Hanan Buhari.
Hanan and her fiancé Mohammed Turad Sha’aban on Friday, September 4, 2020 were officially declared husband and wife by Imam Abdulwahid Suleiman of the State House Mosque in Nigeria.
According to Nigeria’s Sahara Reporters, two Juma prayers were held at the Presidential villa in Aso Rock, Nigeria on that day, one for the regular Friday prayers and the second for the Nikkah ceremony.
The same website also had reported early this month that Nigeria’s first lady Aisha had flown out to Dubai, United Arab Emirates in a jet belonging to a billionaire called Mohammed Indimi for the purpose of shopping for luxury items in preparation for Hanan’s wedding.
After witnessing the day come to pass successfully, Nigeria’s first lady couldn’t hide her excitement as she shared some photos from the ceremony on her Instagram page.
In one of the photos, the groom is seen smartly dressed in a white Nigerian Agbada wear coupled with a navy blue cap. While his bride wore a lace long sleeved bridal gown and covered her head with a long white veil in accordance to the Muslim bridal wear.
The bride’s mother accompanied the stunning photo with an emotional caption.
She wrote, “Today is a great and happy day for my family as we witnessed the wedding of my daughter, Aisha Hanan Buhari to Mohammed Turad Sani Sha’aban.”
In other photos, the couple is seen posing a photo with their parents and some other family members.
The bride’s mother went ahead and added another special message thanking family, friends and well -wishers for gracing and supporting her daughter’s Nikkah ceremony. She also thanked those who understood for not being included in the guest list in order to meet the scientific guidelines because of COVID 19.
“I am overwhelmed by the outpour of goodwill and support from family, friends and well- wishers. Let me use this opportunity to thank everyone that graced the occasion with their presence and those that could not, for the understanding that at this time of a global pandemic and the need to strictly adhere to the advice of our health authorities necessitated limited gathering. We appreciate your prayers for a blessed union, for the couple as they begin their marital life.”
The groom’s father, Alhaji Mahmud Sanni Sha’ban is said to be president Buhari’s friend. Honourable Sani Sha’aban was a former lawmaker who represented Sabon Gari, Zaria in the 5th Assembly and he was also a former gubernatorial candidate in the 2007 and 2011 elections.
Turad is a financial expert who is a special adviser to former Lagos State Governor and current Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola while Hanan is a graduate of photography from Ravensbourne University, England.
Congratulations to Hanan Buhari and her husband.
