Comedian cum radio presenter Ronnie Musimenta McVex married his longtime girlfriend and mother to his child Patience in a lavish wedding on the 22nd of May.

Like most newlyweds, the lovebirds had planned for a honeymoon abroad.

After the wedding, the couple took a covid test which is a requirement before one is permitted to travel out of the country. The results came out negative, they set off for their honeymoon and landed at their destination all full of energy and great expectation, ready to enjoy each other’s company. However, everything didn’t go as planned.

“Third day of our honeymoon, I started feeling uneasy, shivering, joint pains, and headache. My wife said it was fatigue since I was so up and down organizing for the wedding. But I felt weaker each hour that passed. Flue kicked in, and I lost appetite,” narrated McVex on his Facebook page.

With this, he started missing home and felt so uncomfortable. They were scheduled for their test so that they could fly back. On Friday morning, with all the anxiety, he woke up earlier and checked his phone and the results he had been sent were negative.

“We boarded that evening and upon landing in Entebbe, we were subjected to mandatory testing since we had travelled back from a high-risk country. (That’s a full story for another day)

My results came out positive,” adds McVex .

His heart started beating so fast because he could see the RIPs he had viewed on people’s statuses and that was the worst feeling. His wife kept comforting him and encouraging him to be strong. Click to read more…
