Laban Mugisha, an accountant and Christine Byaruhanga, a lawyer were best friend who are now husband and wife. The couple said ‘I do’ on May 8, 2021. They shared their story.
How they met
We met during our A levels at St. Mary’s Kitende. It all started with a great friendship which blossomed into love. I remember asking her out in our Form 6.
Engagement
We got engaged on November 2nd 2019. Her birthday is on October 27th, because this time it fell on a weekday, we agreed to push the celebration to the following weekend on November 2nd. I requested to take her to the Serena Kiigo Spa and later have lunch at their restaurant.
After the sumptuous lunch, as we setup in the Kiigo Gardens for the picnic, I went down on one knee and asked her to Marry me. I was so lucky she said Yes!!
The wedding
My wife, our friends and our families were very helpful when it came to this. It was so easy to put the event together since all responsibilities were divided.
