A Nigerian husband who has been choking on a bank loan he’d borrowed three years ago to take care of his family, sat on the floor of his bedroom praising in tears upon the discovery that his woman had paid off his outstanding loan of N3548 (approximately Ug Shs 29.6 million).

Videos of the man’s reaction have been going around the internet. It turns out the man had been paying the debt monthly and the woman decided to save her own money to help him clear his loan.

The woman said that the husband borrowed the money from the bank about three years ago because he wanted to give his family comfort in the home. She stated that when she moved in with him abroad, she thought she was going to start work immediately and help him, but the reality was that she had to learn the language first.  When she later got a job she started to save some money aside to help him.

“I’ve been saving because I want to put smiles on my husband’s face. I want to see him relieved from this stress.”

When she got the full information of the amount her husband owed the bank, she realized he still had a humongous balance to pay.

She went ahead and paid off the loan.

After speaking to her audience in the video, she called her husband in and showed him what she had done. When the man saw it, he carried her up and soon they were in each other’s arms on the floor.
