Kenyan celebrity singer and business woman, Esther Akoth aka Akothee over the weekend, Sunday, April 11, 2023 tied the knot with her Swiss fiancé Dennis ‘Omosh’ Schweizer in a beautiful garden wedding at the Windsor Golf and Country Club in Nairobi.

The 40-year- old mother of five looked stunning in a Cinderella short-sleeved white gown which she says cost her 4,800 Swiss Francs (Kenya Sh 680,000) which is equivalent to Ugandan Shs19m while her husband wore a white Achkan, also known as a Sherwani according to an article published by The Standard news website.

The singer imported the haute couture atelier v- necked autumn white lace fishtail gown from Switzerland.  The gown is adorned with Swarovski crystals and embroiled with flowers on the chest. She paired it with a long see-through veil.

The event was also a celebration of Akothee’s birthday, and she shared on Instagram that her main wish was to get married on her birthday. Akothee was born on April 8, 1983 in Kisumu County in Kenya. The white-themed occasion also saw guests dressed elegantly in attire with a touch of gold, and they were instructed not to wear white.

Akothee left the Boma Hotel, where she had been staying with her bridal team, and arrived at the venue in a convertible car. At the event, she made a grand entrance in a chariot, while her husband arrived on horseback.

The ceremony was attended by politicians, media personalities, and influencers, making it a star-studded affair. Celebrities present at the event included Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, MP Millie Odhiambo, CS Aisha Jumwa, Diana Marua, Bahati, Terence Creative, Milly Chebby, Lillian Muli, Janet Mbugua, Alex Mwakideu, Njugush, Migori First Lady Agnes Ayacko, Kisumu First Lady Madam Dorothy Nyong’o, Sandra Dacha, PLO Lumumba, Dr Ofweneke, among many others.

Akothee became famous for her wonderful afro-beat songs which are usually accompanied by sultry dance moves that only the fit can pull off. She is known for living an upscale life evidenced by her numerous expensive cars, big homes, and businesses, the most prominent one being Akothee Safaris, a tours and travel company.
