Celebrations filled the air as NTV Uganda Luganda news anchor Patrick Mukasa and his long-time partner, Dorothy Kaka, marked a significant milestone in their love journey with a traditional introduction ceremony.

The colourful event, held at Dorothy’s family home, brought together relatives, friends and close associates to witness the couple formally introduce their relationship to their families, an important step in Ugandan marriage traditions.

Images and videos shared online captured a joyful atmosphere, with the couple elegantly dressed in traditional attire that reflected both Buganda and Tooro cultural heritage. The ceremony blended culture, family and celebration, creating a memorable occasion for everyone in attendance.

Guests were treated to vibrant cultural displays as the couple welcomed them in a beautifully decorated setting. Dorothy later shared glimpses of the event on social media, posting a video alongside the affectionate caption, “My Mahhn.”

Rare glimpse
News of the introduction quickly spread across social media, drawing congratulatory messages from colleagues, friends and admirers of the popular television personality.
For many followers, the ceremony offered a rare glimpse into Mukasa’s private life. Despite being one of the most recognisable faces on Luganda television news, he has largely kept his personal relationships away from public attention throughout his career.

Over the years, his relationship status often sparked curiosity among viewers and social media users. The admired news presenter has long attracted a loyal fan base, with many followers eager to know more about his life beyond the newsroom.

As photos and videos from the introduction continued to circulate online, well-wishers flooded social media with messages celebrating the couple and wishing them success as they prepare for the next chapter of their journey together.
