Ugandan dancehall singer Yung Mulo has made a significant step in his personal life by officially being introduced to his long-time partner, Brenda Kahima, during a traditional ceremony held at the weekend.
The introduction ceremony took place in Mpererwe in Kawempe Division and was attended by family members, close friends, and guests. Photos and videos from the event circulated quickly on social media, showcasing the couple dressed in traditional attire as they celebrated this important milestone with their families.
The ceremony came just weeks after Yung Mulo, whose real name is Lubega Kasimu, held a private kukyala. In an interview preceding the introduction, he expressed that he felt it was important to fulfil his cultural responsibilities after years of being together and raising a family.

Yung Mulo shared that he and Brenda have two children together and felt it was time to formally connect with her family and honour cultural traditions. He recognised that, although they had been in a long-term relationship, he had never officially visited her relatives, which he deemed necessary to address.
The couple’s relationship spans approximately eight years, leading to this public celebration of their commitment. Yung Mulo, known for hits such as “Sipimika,” described the move as part of his growth and maturity, emphasising his desire to set things right and strengthen the ties between their families.
This introduction ceremony marks a new chapter for the couple and places Yung Mulo among the growing number of Ugandan entertainers choosing to legally and culturally recognise their relationships.
