The Matsiga’s made a splendid wedding with only 13million. With these tips, you too can make your own kind of beautiful at your wedding using a minimal budget.

•Buy in bulk in shops that give discount for wholesale; for example bridesmaids’ shoes can be bought in one go and in one place. Every sales person will be willing to discount on a bulky purchase.

•Quit being overly competitive: Just because your friend had fireworks at the reception doesn’t mean you should. Be yourself. Don’t focus too much on trying to impress; that’s not what this day is really about.

•Use free Internet at work (if you can) to send out thank you cards and solicitations.

•Trim the guest list. You are not obligated to invite everyone that has smiled in your direction in the last year.
Get married on a weekday or on a Sunday. Venues won’t be so booked and you’ll likely get a cheaper rate. Even Friday is often cheaper than Saturday.

•Don’t buy into the wedding hype. Remember that anything – be it a dress, shoes, flowers or food—with the word “wedding” attached to it can instantly fetch 25%-plus premium. Try to steer clear of bridal boutiques and don’t tell service providers it’s a wedding unless you have to.

•Go all out on the romance and elope! It is cheap.

Keep the planning short. A month should be enough. That way, there’s no time to go all out crazy.

And if you want you groom excited about that wedding planning, click here.
