Renowned Ugandan singer-songwriter Irene Ntale has officially entered married life. At the weekend, she and longtime partner Vincent Kalibbala exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony at the iconic Rubaga Cathedral in Kampala.

The event marked a deeply personal milestone for Irene, known for her genre-spanning work in Afropop, R&B and acoustic soul. It also served as a joyful celebration of love, family and music, surrounded by her peers, fans and loved ones.

Though the couple kept many of the details private, their bond has been long-standing. On the wedding day, Irene appeared radiant in a gown that balanced classic elegance with a touch of modern simplicity, while Vincent stood alongside her in a tailored suit, clearly proud and supportive. The cathedral setting added both grandeur and solemnity to their commitment.

Music meets tradition
The ceremony brought together Irene’s musical heritage and cultural roots. With musical guests and live renditions blending into the celebration, the soundtrack of the day mirrored her career journey. Social media shows glimpses of Irene and Vincent leaving the cathedral, hand in hand, to warm applause from friends and fans. Meanwhile, the choice of Rubaga Cathedral honoured both their faith and cultural identity, bringing together tradition and personal style in one seamless event.

For Irene Ntale, who began singing in church choirs and rose to national fame, eventually becoming the first Ugandan artist to sign with Universal Music Group Nigeria, this wedding is more than a ceremony: it represents a new chapter. Fans now celebrate not just the artist’s stage accomplishments, but the personal milestone she’s reached.

Looking Ahead
With their vows exchanged and festivities underway, Irene and Vincent can now look ahead together. While fans will undoubtedly continue to follow her music closely, this union offers a fresh dimension to her narrative; one of partnership and personal joy.
We at the magazine congratulate Irene Ntale and Vincent Kalibbala on their beautiful wedding. May their marriage be as harmonious and impactful as the music that first brought Irene into the spotlight.
