We can’t deny Uganda is such an interesting country, and yesterday had several interesting events from the independence celebrations to Bobi Wine’s escape from police. However, the buzz of the day was Rema Namakula’s kukyala.

The Deep in Love songbird is still making rounds on social media for her sense of style and many are wondering how she will be able to beat this look come the kwanjula.

“Okikubye in East Africa and some parts of Europe baby…. May you have a wonderful marriage,” one online user commented on a picture of a gomesi posted on Rema’s Facebook timeline.

Another commented, “Pregnant women do look good in Gomesis, but Rema akiggadde.”

From the day’s shots, we can tell Rema knows how to style and pull off a fine look in a gomesi.  Because she is a performer at kwanjula functions, Rema had to beat many of her gomesi looks to be bridal.  We bring you eight times the singer has rocked and stunned in this traditional attire.
