Ssebunnya Sulaiman popularly known by his stage name ‘Daxx Kartel’, and Mariam Naluwooza, also popularly known as Momo 19, said their vows in an Islamic wedding, which held last Sunday. Sulaiman, who is an entertainer, and Mariam, a TV host on BBS TV, have been together for five years.

“I met Momo in a hopeless place in 2015. There’s no way I could tell then that she would be the one. She’s different. She has turned my life around, I guess you can see the change she has brought into my life. We’ve gone through a lot together. We are best friends. I’m confident that she and I are destined to be great, our beautiful story is only beginning to unfold,” Sulaiman said during the event.

In one of the speeches that the groom made, he expressed his gratefulness towards his wife for being by his side and making him a better person. He also thanked her for accepting to be one and converting to Islam hence changing her name from Maureen to Mariam.

Fans took time and sent congratulatory messages to the couple through Facebook.

Kirabo Scovia wrote;

“Congz MOMO and Daxx may your love for each other be younger every time.”

Gitta Umar Wrote;

Masha’Allah…may Allah bless and guide your marriage lil bro…give you wisdom, soften your hands for her, give you more Rizq, more understanding and more imman, give you beautiful kids who understand and fear Allah.”

Sheri Ann Licia also commented;

“I decided to comment on both yours and Mariam’s posts with congratulations because I love you and am wishing you the best because they say marriage isn’t a joking subject. Anyway may God make it easy for you.”

My wedding wishes the couple a happy marriage.
