Azawi’s ‘It’s your year’ seems like a perfect way to describe the year 2021 for Olympic champion and world record holder Joshua Cheptegei. Cheptegei has not only won medals but also made it official with his partner Carol Yeko Kamari.
The couple had their traditional wedding today in Cheminy, Kween District amidst jubilation.
The bride wore a green gomesi and later changed into an African print dress with white skirting.
The couple’s introduction ceremony was graced by David Rudisha, a Kenya middle-distance runner, a two-time Olympic champion, World champion and world record holder, Geoffrey Kamworor, a Kenyan long-distance runner, a three-time world half marathon champion, Stephen Kiprotich, an Olympic champion, Peruth Chemutai, an Olympic champion, Jacob Kiplimo, among other notable guests.
