Newly introduced Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo and Suzan Makula Nantaba, who introduced him to her family in a pompous introduction ceremony on December 7, have today been dragged to court by lawyer Male Mabirizi Kiwanuka.

The complainant, Male Mabirizi accuses the couple of breaching customary marriage norms in Uganda. Just yesterday, it was all cheers and romance for the couple who are said to have held their introduction in Kyebando. This happened after the pastor announced to his congregation in a church service that he would have an introduction on Tuesday 7th (yesterday)and a wedding in December 12 (Sunday).

According to the Constitution of Uganda, criminal cases are by the state and all the state needs is a complainant and in this case, Male Mabirizi is the complainant.

The House of Prayer Ministries lead pastor filed a divorce case at Kajjansi Magistrate court against his wife Teddy Naluswa seeking dissolution of their 29-year marriage in 2019.

A month ago, the court mediation process that was meant to resolve Pastor Bujjingo and Naluswa’smarriage complications hit a dead end as Naluswa opposed the dissolution of their marriage. It has been publicly whispered that Teddy Bujjingo has so far refused to agree to the divorce because she believes that what God has put together, no man shall put asunder.
