On August 27, the Speaker of Parliament through a tweet notified the internet which
seemingly had no idea of Lira Woman MP’s official wedding to fiancé Peter Ojur.
The Speaker wrote, “Heartfelt Congratulations to you Hon Linda Awuma, and your dear Husband upon this
beautiful step! Marriage is beautiful, and may the Lord grant you a blissful life
of union! Your @Parliament_Ug family sends all the blessings!”
The couple looked beautiful in white. Peter wore a white coat and blended it with a black
bowtie while his wife Linda followed the norm and did the day in a white wedding dress.
Five days ago, Hon Linda introduced her fiancé to her friends and family in Alidi, Loro
Oyam District. The introduction was well attended and she made the statement that only Ojur
would be in charge of her “constituency”.
Friends have congratulated the couple;

@Kamagara7 also replied to Hon Anita’s tweet saying, “@HonLindaAuma is a hero. The
late army General Oyita David Ojok was a true nationalist whose path must be followed.
I’m happy for you Linda. The @NRMOnline peace and stability have made all this happen.”
